Socialist nations some of the happiest on earth

The Right purposely conflates “Socialism” with “Fascism”, trying to goad Democrats into rejecting our most promising candidates.

Democratic Socialist governments ease anxieties by actively supporting basic needs. The recent World Happiness Report cited the Nordic countries of Europe as having the happiest populations in the world, largely because they don’t have to worry about healthcare, education, or adequate vacation time with their families. Progressive government policies prioritize needs, so their people are not as anxious or afraid for their futures.

Under Fascism, government maintains power by promoting fear, through lies, racism, State-run media, packing the courts, suppressing voting, and removal of checks and balances…with the sole goal of increasing leaders’ personal wealth and power. Sound familiar? Seems like we’ve been seeing a march towards Fascism for the past two years, as Republicans purposefully exploit our differences and anxieties. Unless we’re white, male and wealthy, we all must worry about how we can fulfill our basic needs. As a result, our rating on the World Happiness scale continues to fall.

It’s not Progressives like Bernie or AOC we should be worried about, it’s our “Putin wanna-be” president and his cowardly henchmen (and women) who are draining the happiness from our lives.
