Today's America would shock founders
July 4th is near, and our founding fathers would be shocked to see that America is still battling the same forces they fought so hard against 243 years ago.
President Trump, Mitch McConnell and their Republican cohorts are trying their hardest to bring a monarchy to America, where those with wealth and power are above the law and where truth is whatever they say it is.
George Washington would be sickened by the cruelty our government is showing at the southern border, separating children into concentration-like camps while denying them soap, water and medical care…all with the stated intention of scaring families away from coming to America.
John Adams would be horrified by The American Journal of Medicine reporting that 42 percent of cancer patients deplete their life savings during their first two years of treatment, because America’s healthcare system is designed to profit companies.
Thomas Jefferson would be repulsed by Republican efforts to stack the Judicial system with puppet judges who promise to rule in favor of those who appointed them, while allowing our cherished system of “Checks and Balances” to evaporate.
James Madison would just tell us to impeach this wanna-be king!
