DC leadership needs to be purged
As we suffer through ceaseless gun tragedies in America, we wonder, ”Why don’t our political leaders come together and find solutions to this?”
Well…Republican leaders would rather keep fear alive than solve the problem, forcing Congress’ bi-partisan gun safety bills to die without a vote.
These Republicans controlling our government maintain their grip on power by stoking fear. Trump and his henchmen, “Moscow Mitch” McConnell and “Leningrad Lindsay” Graham, do everything they can to keep white, uneducated, male Americans anxious and afraid.
Afraid of black and brown people, afraid of Muslims, afraid of Iran, afraid of homosexuality, afraid of women (especially women with power), afraid of China, afraid of science, afraid of losing their jobs…and desperately afraid of Democrats taking their guns away. Their goal is to make Americans too afraid to risk change of any kind, especially changing the political party in charge.
So “Moscow Mitch” doesn’t allow bills that fight Russian interference in our elections, because that interference elected Trump, and might again. Widely supported, reasonable gun safety legislation is taboo, because keeping Americans in fear is necessary for Republican success.
Let’s sweep these bums out of the White House and the Senate by 2020, if not before.
