Republican Outrage
I can only imagine how insulted Republican members of the House oversight committee on the environment must have been to hear from Mark Ruffalo (“Ruffalo gets ‘dark’ Capitol Hill reaction”, 11/20/19). While Mr. Ruffalo has been a respected investigator, documentarian, and activist for climate change since 2008, to them he is still merely a “Hollywood actor with no scientific expertise.”
How dare Democrats bring him in! What an outrage! After all, these are serious men…good, solid Republicans who dutifully support giant polluting corporations over the future of our planet. Naturally, they insist on hearing only from equally solid, legitimate scientists and climate experts with years of medical, research and scientific expertise…who they can also proceed to mock and ignore!
