Recent writer commended for articulating the feelings of many
Well, this incomprehensible election has proven that too many people can be brow-beaten into believing that the price of eggs and the numbingly absurd belief that their kids could go to school as one gender and come home as another was more important than voting to keep America a democracy.
This, despite the fact that 1.19 million Americans have died in wars to protect the same Constitution that President-Elect Donald J. Trump promised to ‟terminate.” It’s like a ‟Twilight Zone” moment, but we’ll have to see just how just much of that is more of Trump’s never-ending lying.
Yet, we have to thank goodness for people like Stephen Ellingson, whose recent letter was just so articulate and so spot-on. He reflected our feelings and outrage, and that of many others, in such clear, eloquent terms. We thank him for his letter. People like Mr. Ellingson remind us that there are still some ‟points of light” out there in the upcoming dark, dark days that we have brought to America…and to the world.
