Real Dummy
Has there ever been a more pathetic sight than President Trump sitting there like Walter the Puppet while Vladimir Putin went on and on about their meeting, speaking for both of them like he was Jeff Dunham?
When Trump’s turn to speak finally came, he stood up, tried to look tough and powerfully proclaimed, “What he said!” while the Free World’s heart sank.
The last time such a sorry sight occurred was at Helsinki in 2018, when Trump (surprise!) meekly accepted Putin’s intelligence findings over our own, declaring that Russia never interfered in the 2016 presidential election (in Trump’s favor), and opined that “both countries have made mistakes” and that both were to blame for the poor state of U.S./Russia relations.
This weakness displayed by Trump and his Republican abetters is lethal for our own democracy and for the whole world.
