Picente should remember Stefanik's actions when she seeks endorsement
Once again, Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. has excellent comments to make on the impacts of issues that affect his constituents. He shows great awareness of the pain that Republicans will bring to Oneida County residents by their cuts to SNAP and by the spikes to ACA resulting from them allowing subsidies to expire.
He is right on target and he does not try to soften or justify these awful policies.
Yes, Mr. Picente makes solid, constituency-focused comments, but once again, we call on him to remember them when Rep. Elise Stefanik inevitably throws her name into the race for governor of New York State and demands his support.
It’s hard for us to see how she has similar concerns for the welfare of Oneida County residents.
